Slabbed fireplace hearths (or Solid fuel fireplace hearths) is a method of cutting the fireplace hearth into three or more sections to allow expansion and reinforcing the bottom of the fireplace hearth with concrete. We can either supply the fireplace hearth cur and rejoined and allow you the customer to fill the back with cement on site, or we can carry out the whole process in our factory and simply supply you the end filled product.

Black granite fireplace hearth or black marble fireplace hearth

Black granite is becomingly increasingly popular as a material to make fireplace hearths out of. It is commonly mistakenly referred to as black marble hearths.
Black granite hearths are commonly used with solid fuel fires (once cut and rejoined to allow for expansion) as they are more thermostable than marble hearths. Black Granite hearths can take allot more heat than marble hearths due to the nature and proprieties of the material itself.
